TotalEnergies and NORD Seal Strategic Partnership to Power Nigeria’s Automotive Future
In a significant development poised to shape Nigeria’s automotive industry, TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc (TEMNPLC) and NORD Automobiles Ltd entered into a strategic partnership agreement on July 18, 2025. The signing ceremony, held at the TotalEnergies headquarters in Lagos, was attended by senior representatives from both organizations to commemorate this achievement.
Representing TEMNPlc were Emmanuel Morand-Ferh, Executive Director (Finance) and Secretary General; Abdullahi Umar, General Manager, Retail and Cards; and Daniel Chukwu, Lubricant Business Manager. The NORD delegation included Oluwatobi Ajayi, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; Shekinah Odunsi, Director of Operations; and Joshua Ohia, Head of Media and Marketing. Together, these leaders formally initiated the collaboration in an atmosphere of shared optimism.
NORD, Nigeria’s leading indigenous vehicle brand, shared its remarkable seven-year journey, emphasizing its commitment to quality and innovation. The MD highlighted the company’s rigorous testing process that led to the selection of TotalEnergies lubricants as the top-performing choice for their engines. “We understand the importance of the right oil for vehicles,” he stated, “and TotalEnergies stood out in every test.”
TotalEnergies’ EDSG echoed this sentiment, affirming the brand’s unwavering dedication to quality. “We may not be the cheapest, but we never compromise on quality. Our investment in research and development ensures our lubricants meet the highest standards and customer expectations.”
With this agreement, TotalEnergies lubricants becomes the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended Lubricant for NORD automobiles. Every NORD vehicle will now feature TotalEnergies’ premium engine oil under the bonnet, promising enhanced engine longevity and superior performance.
The partnership also extends to service infrastructure. NORD’s accredited service centres will be integrated into selected TotalEnergies Quartz Auto Service Bays nationwide, offering customers access to genuine parts, oil changes, and comprehensive diagnostics.
The partnership is effective immediately.
