David Adefunmilayo

David made a u-turn from oil/gas engineering to climate-focused entrepreneurship even after six academic and professional awards, including a Dean's award for first-class students and the most influential and versatile student leader at Petroleum Training Institute and the University of Lagos. He holds a mini-Masters in Business Administration at the Lagos Business School and currently leads his innovative-driven enterprise, Efico Paper Resources, where he plans to save the planet 125,000 tons of CO2 annually and create 1,000 Jobs in Africa by 2030.
 
In 2018, He founded Efico Edtech Resources (www.Eficoresource.com), a sustainability ecosystem for African students. Through the Save-The-Climate Project, he enlisted the talents of undergraduate and graduate students to carry out climate change advocacy solutions using a blended approach of awareness, education, research, and business development. Through this platform, he has created 35 green hubs in Universities and Secondary school in Nigeria and impacted over 7,000 students by leveraging 60 campus ambassadors. 

Due to his impact on climate sustainability, He was nominated as one of the Brightest Young Minds in Africa by the Bright Network and served as a Nigerian delegate in Cairo, Egypt for the SDG Summit for Young Leaders. He was conferred climate ambassador by various climate Fellowships and also been selected as a delegate to represent youth voices at numerous climate conferences, including the Global Youth Summit for Climate Change in Rotterdam, Netherlands where he interfaced with the prime minister of Denmark.

He aspires to be one of Africa's wealthiest and most influential people impacting the Circular economy by 2030.
