Senan Murray is the Manager, Communication Projects at TotalEnergies in Nigeria. Over the course of the last 20 years, Senan has amassed extensive experience in Journalism, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication with special interest in Communication Strategy Design, Media Relations, Crisis Communication, New Media and Stakeholder Communication. He is also trained Applied Development Economist and a committed farmer.

A former BBC Senior Broadcast Journalist, Senan pioneered the global media leader’s New Media operations in Nigeria when he joined its Africa Desk. He was National Assembly Correspondent Nigeria’s Punch newspaper. He also worked as a stringer for The Associated Press and the United Nations news agency IRIN. His articles have been published in The New York Times, BBC News website and Reuters among others.

Senan also used to train Business Correspondents at Daily Trust newspaper, one of Nigeria’s prominent national dailies.

He is an alumnus of the exclusive Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie-led Farafina Creative Writing Workshop. Also a Chevening alumnus, Senan spends his spare time in mentoring and youth development in his home state, Adamawa.
